June 17th

We went for a walk (mommy),  run ( Sadie), ride (daddy, meghan and becca) last night in the nature preserve behind our house.  It was fun.

We saw a lot of cactus with flowers.  Cactus will poke your fingers.

Bunnies are out in full force.  This baby was in our yard and let us get very close.

Meghan did some research on bunnies:

Bunnies are the mammals that probably hate to be chased by dogs.  They are also called rabbits or hares.  They are found all over the world.  They are very small mammals.  The dad is called a buck.  The mom is a doe.  The kids are called kits.  They live in small holes called burrows.  A group of burrows is called a warren.  They live in meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts, and wetlands (editor note: and our yard.)  .  They are most active at dawn and dusk.  They live from 9 to 12 years.  They love to eat carrots and lettuce (editor note: this is from our own experiments in the yard.)  They will eat your garden (editor note: also from our own experiments in the yard.)  They are sometimes menaces and not at the same time.

Meghan had Daddy Daughter night with a wonderful Celtic Woman concert at Red Rocks Ampitheater. Mommy decided a couple of months ago that she did not want to go but was extremely jealous by the time the concert came. Mommy even tried to rock paper scissors for it. It was a no go...

Becca and Mommy went for icecream  instead.
